Tim Quenan

Father of 4 and an avid golfer. Came across the Hundred Hole Hike site last year and committed to joining the event in 2014. I'm walking for my son who was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the age of 5, and has been managing the disease for 8+ years. As a family we've been big supporters of JDRF and the work they do towards finding a cure for diabetes and improving the lives of people living with the disease.

I'm supporting

JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The goal of JDRF research is to improve the lives of all people affected by T1D by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D.

Stats from my hike

Some stats from my Hundred Hole Hike yesterday to support JDRF and JDRF Illinois at Flossmoor Country Club.

Just 9 hours until tee off time...

Just about 9 hours until I tee off tomorrow morning on my first Hundred Hole Hike. I'm very excited (and maybe a little anxious) for my first hike, not fully knowing what to expect.

Preparation continues and thanks for the pledges

I continue my preparation by trying to play as much golf as possible, which meant twice this past week.

Finally Spring in Chicago area

Finally feeling like spring in the Chicago land area. Looking forward to getting back out on the course this weekend.

How to prepare?

Be trying to figure out the best way to prep my body for this quest. Tried to convince my wife that I needed to play golf everyday and twice a day on the weekends (that didn't fly).
