Ryan Potts

Ryan Potts lives in Glen Ellyn and is a proud alumnus of the University of Illinois. He is a long-time member of Medinah Country Club and a life-long resident of the State of Illinois. He played on the University of Illinois golf team from 1996-1998 and he is currently serving in his first year as a Director of the Western Golf Association/Evans' Scholar Foundation. He is an attorney at Brotschul Potts LLC and an avid golfer - although the bulk of his golf lately seems to be shepherding his three girls to and from the driving range. When Ryan walks 100+ holes at Medinah County Club on July 1st, he will be doing so to support the Evans' Scholar house at the University of Illinois - two causes near and dear to his heart. Ryan expects that Illini Nation will unite behind his cause to help continue to provide the Illini Experience to deserving caddies everywhere.

University of Illinois Evans' Scholar Chapter

The Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship is a full tuition and housing college scholarship for golf caddies. Evans Scholars are selected based on their strong caddie record, excellent grades, outstanding character and demonstrated financial need. In addition to these criteria, we are a group of people connected by our sense of pride, determination and community.

135!

July 1, 2013 will be one of those days that I will never forget. I arrived at Medinah at 4:55am, only to see another car in the lot.

T minus 6 days

I remember a few weeks ago when I decided that I needed to shape up for this thing. I remember how I had to start taking the walk seriously and start focusing on getting ready.

Medinah Comes Up Big Again!

So, John Christopher and Jason Kinander, two good friends from Medinah graciously offered to send out my hundred hole hike donation request to their distribution list.

Countdown.

It dawned on me last night....we're getting close to this thing. It also dawned on me....I'm really going to have to walk a long long way. For the first time, some doubt set in.

The First Push

So I sent out my one and only fundraising e-mail yesterday. Wow! The response was awesome.

The Beginning

So, the fundraising has begun. For years I have dutifully donated to cause after cause on behalf of friends, family and clients.
