Rick Johnson

I will be ‘hiking’ for the Colorado Make-a-Wish Foundation because I am living my dream through golf and would love to give back to the less fortunate who also have dreams. After picking up the game of golf at age 10, I have dedicated the last 25 years to the game and the opportunities that it has provided me mentally, socially, physically and professionally. I live in Denver, CO and consider myself to have the best job in the ‘golf world’. I am the Director of Business Development for KemperSports Managements and am tasked to build our portfolio of great courses in the Western region. With two kids under the age of five (Henry and Isaac) most of my free time is spent with them and my great wife Nikki. Through these fortunes I feel that the Hundred Hole Hike (HHH) is an excellent chance for me to give back to the great game that has given me so much joy and happiness.
MY GOAL IS TO PLAY 108 HOLES

Judgement day!

What a great day at Ballyneal Golf Club. It started at 4:40am with darkness and rain, then the bugs and flys followed by 96 degree heat and snakes (I hate snakes!).

Speed golf training

I decided to play The Ridge in Castle Pines, CO as another training course. Speed golf (running between shots) is a tall order with all the ups and downs 'steep grades'.

Desert Golf - Palm Springs

I thought it would be a good idea to get a round of golf in above 100 degrees...Hot, Hot, Hot!

Early morning training

As I start to train for the HHH I decided it would be good to get up before the birds, and sun, and start golfing.
