I am very excited to be playing in my first Hundred Hole Hike on May 19th at the beautiful Old Marsh Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. I will be raising money this year for Bella's Angels, a charity about which I care deeply. Named after Bella Cavallo, a beautiful and sweet 12 year old girl, Bella's Angels raises money to assist families with children that suffer from life-long physical disabilities. Bella was born with C.H.A.R.G.E. syndrome. CHARGE syndrome is a recognizable (genetic) pattern of birth defects which occurs in about one in every 9-10,000 births worldwide. It is an extremely complex syndrome, involving extensive medical and physical difficulties that differ from child to child. The photo above is of Fischer. Fischer was born with CHARGE Syndrome on June 2009 at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. Although this little guy faces lots and lots of challenges and has several serious medical issues, he is a very happy child. He was born with only one kidney, profound hearing loss, the inability to swallow, fluid on his brain and partial facial paralysis. Every week Fischer has doctors appointments and multiple therapies with many different specialists. He is a very strong and smart kid who amazes everyone around him with his constant strength and determination. The mission of Bella's Angels is to offer assistance and support to families of children who have been diagnosed with CHARGE Syndrome or a life-long physical disability. Bella’s Angels helps defray the cost of such medical treatment of the children we assist (we affectionately refer to them as our Bella’s Buddies). Bella’s Angels also works with our Bella’s Buddies families by assisting with medical expenses not covered by insurance. Our goal is to make diagnosing and treating these extra-special children a reality regardless of where their medical team resides. Notwithstanding their challenges, our Buddies are beautiful kids with a love for life with parents that cherish every day with their children. Please consider sponsoring me to help raise money for this worthwhile charity, whether it be an amount per hole or a set amount. Thanks so much for your support!!! Jonathan

Update on Me

As I enjoy my 45th year, I think a lot about how my life is different than I ever thought it would be. Perhaps you have similar thoughts.

My feet

I have been walking quite a bit to get ready. I feel like I am in good enough shape to walk the 35 miles or so, but I am worried about my feet.
